easyONE – AIS MOB DSC cl.

The easyONE is a palm sized AIS MOB device. The easyONE has an automatic triggering function which initiates transmission of an AIS MOB emergency message and a combined ‘closed loop’ DSC distress call. The DSC distress call can alert up to 8 dedicated, pre-programmed, vessels.
The unit can be easily integrated into every automatic lifejacket.

Function
In a man-overboard (MOB) situation the lifejacket inflates and releases the easyONE which will float free in an upright position. The unit is fixed to the lifejacket via a lanyard and is automatically activated. The antenna unfurls to maximise transmission range and a bright flashing LED light aids detections and recovery at night.
On activation, the easyONE transmits a full AIS MOB emergency message and a DSC distress call to up to 8 pre-programmed MMSI numbers. The distress call contains the individual unit ID, current GPS position, as well as COG and SOG of the victim. The unit ID starts with “972…” each AIS receiver within range of 7 to 8 nautical miles (bad conditions and height of receiving antenna may lower the range) will pick up this emergency message. A chart plotter or PC screen will display the official MOB symbol (red X with red circle).
Two LEDs show the unit is functioning and the high visible bright red LED flare provide reassurance in a distress situation and increase the chance of recovery.
If the easyONE is triggered the battery capacity allows continuous transmission for 36 hours.
Programming the MMSI numbers can be sone using the easyRESCUE App available via iOS Apple or Android. No registration or licenses are required to operate this unit.
