NEW BATTERY-POWERED FIRE RESCUE PUMP KIT LAUNCHED AT ESS
KPM-Marine’s new Fire Rescue Pump Kit (FRP5) will be launched at The Emergency Services Show 2021. Highly portable, producing no emissions, and with a self-priming pump, the kit can be unpacked, assembled and set pumping within one minute.
Designed in Birmingham and developed over five years, the innovative new battery power pack can pump 36,000 litres on one charge and can even be recharged whilst the pump is running. The addition of a floodlight, which is powered simultaneously with the pump, and a firefighting nozzle, increases the versatility of the equipment.
Sally Dale, MD at Pinpoint Electronics, said “the potential applications for this technology are huge: firstly the fire rescue pump kit fits in the boot of a small car and therefore can be carried by one person, and, because there are no emissions, may be safely used in confined spaces. This equipment should be at the top of the kit list for any first-responders providing emergency assistance for flood incidents.”
Come and see the FRP5 in action on 7-8th September at the NEC in Birmingham (stand M25).

Notes to Editors
Most flood pumps are large, heavy and petrol or diesel-powered so their emissions make them unsuitable for use in confined spaces.
